The Buddhist eight auspicious symbols are called "Ashtamangala" in Sanskrit. These symbols derived from Indian and have become very popular in Tibet. Usually, they appear on Buddhist objects, textiles, paintings and Tibetan jewelry. The eight auspicious symbols are: Dharma Wheel, White Conch, Precious Parasol, Lotus Flower, Golden Fish, Treasure Vase, Endless Knot and Victory Banner.

Precious Parasol: The precious parasol symbolizes the healthful activity of protecting creatures from illness, dangerous forces, barrier and so on within this existence and a myriad of temporary and long lasting sufferings from the three lower fields, and also the area of males and gods later on lives. Additionally, it signifies the thrill of the feast of great benefit under its awesome shade.
